   advance reservation

   If you want to use Asakusa Kimono Rental Kanowafuku, we recommend that you make a reservation in advance. Please note that on the day of your rental, there is a possibility that the available spaces for your desired plan will be filled, so it is good to make your reservation a few days in advance. Reservations can be made 24 hours a day via the web, and we accept reservations up to 10 minutes prior to your visit.

   Notes about reservation

   • Cancellation policy: You can cancel for free up to 1 day before your reservation.
   • Same-day use without reservation: Please feel free to come by.
   • Required time: 45 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes (may vary depending on congestion)
   • Web reservations are accepted up to 10 minutes before the reservation time.

   You can enter the store 10 minutes before the reservation time on the day. It's a good location 5 minutes from the nearest station to the store. Please visit the store access page and come to the store. *You do not need to contact us if you are late within 15 minutes.

   Reception and Payment

   When you come to our store, we will check the rental plan, check the options, and pay at the reception desk. Additional options and plans can be changed, so please feel free to contact us. You can only pay in cash.

   ＜About how to choose Kimono＞
   You can choose all kimonos for any plan. There is no price change, so please feel free to use it. If you are worried about choosing a kimono, an experienced adviser will help you.

   ＜About Plans＞
   You can choose kimono and yukata (summer only) according to the plan you reserved in advance. Basically, there is no price change depending on the season, so please feel free to use it.

   ＜About Accessories＞
   Accessories are also available as the option. We have accessories for rent, so you can come empty-handed.

   • Kimono Price: You can choose all kimonos in any plan (no limit on choosing Kimonos!)
   • Obi: Basically, it is served as a set with Kimono.

5. 05

   Dressing of Kimono and Yukata

   A professional dresser will do the dressing. We also have all the necessary accessories (e.g., tabi and bag), so basically you can come empty-handed, but we don't accept kimono dressing.

   hair styling

   We provide services with permission from a local government-issued beauty salon. Depending on your reservation plan, we will also provide you with a hair set tailored to your kimono. All hair-setting plans include curling tongs, hair straightener and hair ornaments. We can handle it regardless of the length of the hair.

   Choose sandals

   Once you have finished dressing, you will choose sandals and geta to match your rental Kimono. We also make sandals every season to match trendy KKimonos. We also offer an optional bag that can hold a large long wallet for 500 yen (tax included).

   About the size of sandals

   • Choose the size of sandals: It is said that sandals are easy to walk in if you wear them in a size that sticks out just or about 1cm.

   
8. 08

   Baggage storage

   You can leave all your belongings except valuables that you don't need for sightseeing in Asakusa. You can also leave the clothes you changed. Large luggage such as suitcase can also be checked for 1,000 yen (tax included) ( fees are charged during the busy season).
   The average length of kimono rental so far is 45 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes from reception to departure, but it may vary depending on the congestion.

   Walking around Asakusa in Kimono

   Kanowafuku, a convenient location for Asakusa sightseeing, gives you to enjoy sightseeing in kimono immediately after rental.

   • Sensoji Temple: 3 minutes walk
   • Sumida Park: 3 minutes walk
   • Asakusa Nakamise Street: 5 minutes walk

10. 10

    The return of a kimono

    Please return the kimono by the last return time (usually 17:30). You can also return it the next day for 2,000 yen (tax included). Business hours may be extended on certain days (such as fireworks displays in summer).

    Points to Note for Return

    • Delay：If you exceed the return time, there will be an additional charge.
    • Next day return: A deposit of 5,000 yen is required when using it. All the deposit will be returned the next day.
